I adore how this pendant came out. I hand-picked the base stone of this pendant while traveling in 2018. The West Coast of Greece borders The Golf of Corinth. There, in Patras Greece near the Rion-Antirion Brige near “Kolokotroni” street and “George Papandreou” street I sauntered the stony beach a few bright mornings that turned into hot afternoons next to the salty turquoise blue waters of the gulf. I don’t need to speak Greek to understand how outstanding some of these beach stones were :)
The sea green color of this stone feels so genuinely beautiful. When back home, I excitedly shaped the stone on my sanding wheel and polished it down being sure to leave a bit of natural face on this uniquely shaped stone. Honestly, I’ve saved the stone for three years hoping to pair it with something special trying many combinations and when I found the right one!
Dawning the top of the pendant is a sun-kissed snail shell with a calm swirl at center that I happened to find empty on a happy blue-sky day in Cape Coral Florida USA.

I really enjoy creating these unique necklaces out of real cactus!
I’m so excited for how this pendant turned out! After I found the sundried cactus bones out in nature, I then hand sawed the wood down into the shape I desired and carved to where the wood looks clean and new just below the surface. Next I hand sanded the piece to smooth it out making sure to leave some natural grain definition in the wood. Then I wax protected the wood and finally it is ready to wire wrap to make a pendant so I take 100% solid copper and brass wire and create a design from my knowledge. Steve and I made a stop in Flagstaff and down to Sedona around Christmas 2020.. it snowed so it was literally cold and we had a chill time, too! We made a plan to stop in “The Bead Garden” in Sedona and as my first bead store, I picked out some beautiful minerals to include and compliment my collections
My whole life I’ve loved objects with holes in them.. like shells on the beach, hagstones, wood with holes after knots have withered out, or steel oxidizing with a rusting surface looking like swiss cheese. I find decay beautiful. I find the imperfect beautiful. I find comfort and joy in filling the void with beauty, with love, with a hope for good things. This raw cactus paddle was found out in the wild of the West while exploring in New Mexico and also North Texas. Then, I carefully cut it down into pendant shape and firm up the wooden lattice veins of the desert paddle cactus and apply multiple coats of matte finish wood protectant. After drying, the cactus is ready to be wrapped with copper wire adding intricate layers piece by piece so to encase the object and make a special desert amulet ✨ This final product is now a sturdy and extremely unique pendant and wearable art for those who might seek to enjoy the lacey warm pattern of beautiful chaos.

I stumbled across these insanely awesome crystals while exploring down Baja Mexico in the small chill town of Mulegè. Mulegè has three inactive volcanic mountains far off in the distance that you can see from a few of the tall points in town like near an old lighthouse where the mouth of a river meets the Gulf of California. I ask you to Google “Faro de Mulegè”… That’s near where I found them. ☀️ So when the volcanos were active, I think the extreme heat of the flowing lava melted the silica quartz and turned it into the botryoidal bubbly chalcedony you see here. Now happy rainbow accents compliment this magical chalcedony crystal for a stellar feeling.
