Creek Bend Smile

Creek Bend Smile
What keeps us going?
What brings us back?
Alone time, exploration, clearing the mind
Take a walk under canopy
The feeling the woods gives me
Is blissful; Heavenly
To carve out an hour of the day
Purposeful time away
I can hear cars in the distance but
These trees are good company
especially when the leaves change to bright colors
And this sweet man of mine walking with me
We roam these fun hills
and the Pennsylvania creeks
show reflections at waters edge
I can stare at for a good long while
If you wonder where I am
I’ll be at the creek bend
Can’t even help my smile
