Late Nights & Early Mornings
My late nights with you are ones of love
We chill out all late evening
until it’s early morning
Before sunrise, it’s time to put on our shoes
and get ready to head out.
We take our child-like hearts down a path
to the beach early this morning to meander about..
to wait for the sun to shine it’s glorious light and warmth upon our skin.
To explore PhraNang Cave, float on our backs in the water, to take it all in…
and I… in this moment I stand back here in awe.
In awe of you. In awe of my self.
Thankful for this life we live.
For the chances we’ve taken.
The wits to make it all happen.
For the perseverance to make it through.
With a grateful heart I lead.
My late nights and early mornings with you leave me full.
The color of the morning, low light and dark silhouettes,
Sun brings the color of new days.
I only have “thank yous”, and deep love for the life we’ve lead.
