Totem poles are monuments created by First Nations people of the Pacific Northwest to represent and commemorate ancestry, histories, people, or events.

Totem poles are tall, colorful poles that have human or animal faces carved and painted on them. Each face represents a part of the family’s past, telling the story of a family or community.

… This unqiue creation begins with a Cholla Cactus base that I found out in the wild of New Mexico, USA.   I then hand sawed, hand carved, shaped, sanded, and lathered with a few coats of wood protectant.   After the wood was prepared, I took copper wire and began to design and create this necklace that features a teal magnesite bead, black lava bead, real yellow and red Jasper chips that I picked out of the ground while rock hunting in Moab Utah, and rock hounded Quartz I hand picked from the hills in Arkansas at the bottom of the totem.

I strongly consider various pendants I make to be a meditation piece for the person wearing it.   Picture yourself sitting on a park bench under the sun and shade, you feel a bit of anxiety but you had this necklace on today… When you look down your eyes begin to trace the copper wires around the warm wood.. you take in the colors for a moment and you find you’re beginning to feel calm. You take a few five second deep breaths in and out and you begin your grounding process.  When you feel a bit better, you keep on keeping on

This unique creation begins with a Cholla Cactus base that I found out in the wild of New Mexico, USA.   I then hand sawed, hand carved, shaped, sanded, and generously painted with a few layers of wood protectant.   After the wood is prepared, I take copper wire and begin to design and create a necklace.  Featured feel good minerals are thoughtfully added like a teal magnesite bead, black lava bead, real yellow and red Jasper chips that I picked out of the ground while rock hunting in Moab Utah, and rock hounded Quartz I hand picked from the hills in Arkansas at the bottom of the totem.
